SO: Small Holder Range - Dairy Goat Mix 20kg
We realise most of our customers will not be thinking of keeping or or breeding goats for their milk, however for those that find themselves caring for a goat that is producing milk and requires the additional nutrition we make this feed available for its high quality ingredients. The Small Holder Range provide the following information:
"A mix of cereals and pulses optimised for the high yielding dairy goat. Should be introduced about two weeks before kidding, starting with just a few handfuls, and gradually building up to around 0.5kg a day by the time the kids are born. After the birth of kids, the feed should slowly be increased to around 2kg a day. A milking goat producing about 4.5 litres of milk a day will need about 2kg of feed per day. Depending on the individual goat, you may need to increase the amount further if she is producing more milk, by about 1kg for every extra gallon of milk, although the goat may not want to eat this much." 
 We do not have a record of the ingredients for these products. We do know that they are Vegetarian Society approved, use Non-GMO ingredients, cold pressed soya and linseed oils (no animal fats), no artifical colourings or additives and do not use the harsh solent Hexane on the soya protein. They do not use pork gelatine coated vitamins or other animal derived products which are common in many feeds.
