VegeCAT phi Supplement 210g

Vet approved (USA) nutritional supplement with acid pH that may help prevent urinary problems.

Includes all the of the essential ingredients found in VegeCAT but is specially formulated for cats prone to 'feline lower urinary tract disease' (formerly FUS).

Some cats are extra sensitive to the magnesium content in their diet, as well as to how acid or alkaline their urine is as a result of their diet. For these cats 'struvite uroliths' and 'urethral plugs' can be life threatening and quick action must be taken.

Along with a vet’s intervention to remove the obstruction and empty the bladder, it is necessary to use a food that maintains an acidic urine, and to avoid excess dietary magnesium. Vegecat pH™ has been very successful in preventing recurrences. It maintains urine at about pH 6.5.

The enclosed (vegan) recipies, used with Vegecat pH, meet nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Controls Officials's (AAFCO) Cat Food Nutrient Profile for Maintenance of adult cats. This contacins a safe acidifier to help prevent urinary problems caused by excess dietary magnesium and urine that is too alkaline.

VegeYeast
Another ingredient that can be useful in making food at home is VegeYeast, with a strong flavour and aroma, rich in B vitamins. It is 100 times more acidic than other yeasts, which boosts urine acidity and it is 35% lower in magnesium.

Ingredients: 
Dried Kelp (source of arachidonate), Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Bisulfate, Dicalcium Phosphate, DL-Methionine, Taurine, Choline Chloride, Vitamin E (dl-alphatocopheryl acetate), Zinc Oxide, Ferrus Sulfate, Vitamin A-Acetate, Copper Sulfate, Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol), Sodium Selenite, Vitamin B12 Supplement.
All ingredients are from non-animals sources.

A 210g tub should last a 4.5kg cat more than 5 weeks.

A 4.5kg cat would need just over one teaspoon (6ml) of Vegecat added to its diet daily.
